It takes a community to reduce recidivism.

–Carol E. Briney

Reentry Bridge Network, Inc. (RBN) was created to provide pre- and post-release development and networking for prisoners, former prisoners and their families in order to effect a smooth, successful transition or bridge into the community outside the wall.

RBN is committed to accomplishing this purpose by providing advancement, development and networking in the areas of: education, community mentorship, employment, housing, transportation, arts, holistic health, family unification and spirituality.

WE BELIEVE that the nature of prison has become a timely study of individuals – individuals whose circumstances could have possibly been prevented by society as a whole, and whose recidivism can certainly be affected by community awareness and involvement.

WE BELIEVE these things should be considered in an effort to reduce recidivism in America:

  • Positive validation of individuality ultimately results in positive behavior.
  • People support what they help to create.
  • People will continue to say and act out the same thing until they are acknowledged. Society does not have to agree, just acknowledge.
  • The simple words “It’s not your fault” can have quantum effects on the lives of people by giving them the permission to quench their need to act out their real and perceived losses.
