Children

To make Stark County the model for mentoring the children of the incarcerated in such a way as to break negative-life cycles, ultimately increasing education and reducing crime.

Pre-Release

To set the pre-release model for reentry initiative programs based in education, trauma-informed care, and cognitive restructuring through our sole-proprietary programs inside prisons in such a way as to increase family-reunification and reduce crime and recidivism.

Post-Release

To be the post-release model for reentry resources and networking, trauma-informed care, continued education, and family communication and reunification,  in such a way as to reduce crime and recidivism.

Families

To be the program model for family communication, reunification, and trauma-informed care for families of individuals who are or have been incarcerated.

Community Stakeholders

To set the model for community awareness, education, and involvement in both pre- and post-release offenders and their families in such a way as to further ensure successful reentry. It takes a community to reduce recidivism.

National

To be the national model for putting a face on reentry through the National Prison Arts Project, in collaboration with the Federal Public Defenders Office, as a means of making America aware of the individuality, intelligence, and creativity of the 3+ million incarcerated individuals, thus placing a spotlight on social and educational changes as strength-based alternatives to the shattering effects of incarceration on our families and nation.

Ultimate Goal

To provide continuing mentoring that helps to develop ex-offenders and at-risk juveniles into law-abiding, family-supporting, tax-paying citizens instead of permanently unemployed ex-offenders who look to crime for survival.
