Working toward our mission of reducing recidivism, Reentry Bridge Network, Inc. (RBN) holds workshops and classes within the prison system across Ohio.

These classes focus on helping incarcerated individuals to achieve a shift in their cognitive belief, as well as develop some vocational skills in preparation for reentry.

Reentry Bridge Network, Inc. (RBN) strives to establish workshop series that:

  • Recognizes that trauma is the key element behind crime and RBN utilizes trauma-informed care as the basis for developing coping skills.
  • Fosters reentry readiness through family reunification, applied deductive reasoning skills, self-value, and effective positive cognitive behavior awareness.
  • Encourages mentoring  in our vocational and business education classrooms.
  • Introduces new, or enhance familiar, arts media to the prison populations, providing avenues for processing and personal growth and self-expression through the visual arts, drama, music, writing and dance.
  • Assists in “bringing together” prisoners by providing projects that encourage team work and ownership.
  • Provides thought-provoking and challenging media that encourages introspect and expression, and which generate projects and activities that constructively fill idle time.

RBN continually strives to grow a national base of speakers, teachers and facilitators who are available to facilitate workshops that support RBN goals for healthier prisons, reduced recidivism, and thriving communities.
